House Blessing for a Cancer Couple

For this piece, the gift-giver wanted to incorporate plant imagery - more succulent hens and chicks! - for a sweet, cozy, and cool Cancer couple. Plants and Moon symbolism abound in this mixed media work. Silver, a metal of the Moon-ruled sign of Cancer, was added in the form of paint and ink for dynamism, sparkle, and extra style points. Fern imagery was included as a nod to the Pacific Northwest, as well as a symbol for a fresh start. The roots reinforce the comfort and strength of groundedness in a new sharded space.
